Weitz Construction contacted GPRS of Denver, Colorado to assist on a project in Vail, Colorado. On the lower floors of a 500,000+ square foot residential building, additional steel beams needed to be anchored to the walls in order to add support to the floor. It was crucial to miss all structural steel within the concrete walls when anchoring the plates for the beams. Ground Penetrating Radar Systems, Inc was able to mobilize to the site in Vail, CO and map out the location of the rebar on the surface of the wall. The location of the rebar required the contractor to modify the steel plate to allow the anchors to miss all of the rebar. Also while on site GPRS scanned 7 concrete tee beams to locate pre-tensioned steel.
