A restoration company contacted GPRS of Omaha, Nebraska to assist on a project in Lincoln, Nebraska. They had been hired to renovate a bar and restaurant area in an upscale hotel. The upgrade required the saw cutting of concrete in a large area. There was a concern that hitting post-tension cable or conduits was a possibility. The GPRS technician on site was able to determine that there were not any PT-Cables in the slab and also there were no electrical conduits to be concerned with.

Can GPRS identify Post Tension Tendons and conduits within a concrete slab on grade? Yes. Is GPRS able to scan a concrete slab and locate Post-Tension Cables? Yes. Can GPR technology effectively locate steel within a concrete structure without emitting any radiation that could be harmful? Yes.
