In late January of 2008, GLE Associates
of Tampa, FL needed ground penetrating radar to check
for Underground Storage Tanks
in Decatur, Georgia, just outside of Atlanta. Due to
a miscommunication with another provider the survey
had not been completed and the engineering firm was
nearly out of time to have this work done.
The firm contacted GPRS
Atlanta, and even though it was already late Friday
afternoon, GPRS
mobilized to the site and completed the survey. They
even marked some private utility lines so they could
be avoided when soil borings would be taken the following
week.
GPRS
serves the construction and engineering industry. We
know that everything does not always go according to
plan and will make every reasonable effort to accommodate
our customer’s schedule. Using ground
penetrating radar to check for Underground
Storage Tanks (UST’s) is a common
application for our company. We work with many environmental
engineering companies to assist in Phase One and Phase
Two inspections.
