Drury Inn and Suites

On December 19th, 2007, GPRS Charlotte was requested at a new Drury Inn and Suites to help keep the construction of the new hotel on schedule.  It was discovered after the concrete had been poured that some mechanical penetrations were not sleeved in the post-tension slabs.  The construction staff did not want to risk cutting into the concrete without knowing exactly where these cables were placed.

GPRS

Mitch Ross of Ground Penetrating Radar Systems was able to precisely mark the locations of the post-tensioning without causing any damage to the surface, and without shutting down the site at all!  There is no harmful radiation emitted from our GPR equipment.

This customer was so satisfied that GPRS was back on site for additional work a few weeks later for additional concrete scanning.  Mapping out rebar and post-tension cables prior to core drilling is our specialty at GPRS.
