When a plumbing contractor need to saw-cut a trench in a concrete slab, GPRS was called to assist. GPRS Omaha mobilized to the commercial site and used GPR technology to X-Ray the concrete slab on grade. While on site the GPRS technician was able to identify multiple areas of concern within the concrete slab. The items were marked directly on the concrete so that when saw-cutting there was no question of the whereabouts of the conduits.
Ground Penetrating Radar is a great application when working on existing facilities because it does not require moving any people out of the area. No radiation is released during a Ground Penetrating Radar scan. Imaging (GPR) is also a great way to test the contents of concrete with a non-destructive application. The data collected during a scan can be quickly marked on the surface of the concrete and is a relatively quick process when mapping out an entire trench location. This allows projects to stay on schedule and keep a very low cost.
This Service can be provided Nationwide by GPRS. To schedule a GPR scan in Lincoln or Omaha, Nebraska or Kansas please call Jason Schaff at 402.763.7104. To contact GPRS by email send to Jason.Schaff@GP-Radar.com. |
