The Austonian in Downtown Austin, TX. - (Locate rebar and Post-tension cables)

Walker Engineering, Inc. of Austin needed to locate rebar and post-tension cables prior to core drilling on a structural concrete slab at the Austonian.  Ground Penetrating Radar Systems, Inc. was recommended to Walker Engineering, Inc.   Scott Clay was able to plot the location of all of the reinforcing steel that were present in the areas directly onto the concrete surface.  Walker Engineering has contacted GPRS on multiple occasions to return to The Austonian for various reasons as the job progresses and their needs change.  Walker has been pleased with GPRS each time secondary to the consistency and thoroughness that the GPRS technician has provided.  Ground Penetrating Radar is the ideal technology to use for this application since it requires no radiation, especially in an occupied facility.
