In February of 2008, Ground
Penetrating Radar Systems was contracted
by IVI Environmental to perform Underground
Storage Tank surveys at 5 sites throughout
the southeast. These included sites in Tennessee, Alabama,
Georgia, and Florida. Sun Trust Bank had hired IVI to
find out if there were any abandoned storage tanks left
in place at a few specific properties. Due to their
presence in several states around the US, GPRS was able to accommodate the requested schedule and complete
all 5 of the surveys in a period of less than 2 weeks.
The surveys revealed that any USTs
that had been buried on the property were no longer
present.
Using Ground Penetrating Radar to determine
the presence & location of Underground
Storage Tanks and buried drums is a common
service provided by GPRS.
We have worked with many environmental engineering firms
throughout the US to assist in Phase one and Phase two
environmental surveys.
Mitch Ross was the lead from GPRS on this project for IVI Environmental. Mitch runs our
operations in the Mid-Atlantic region and he is based
in Charlotte, NC. He can be reached at (704)501-7089 or
